Restaurant style Homemade Tomato Soup

In a restaurant, Tomato Soup costs from ₹150 to ₹200, and it is served with extra colour and flavours, and it is frequently canned food.

However, homemade soup costs less than ₹100 for a family of four. For rapid cooking, you can use a pressure cooker. And your kids will undoubtedly like it.

Here, we have the full recipe shared by Ganesh Prasad Mishra sir from his kitchen.

Ingredients for Tomato Soup: 

  1. 🍅 5 to 6 Red tomatoes,
  2. 1 inch ginger chopped
  3. 5 to 6 Garlic cloves minced
  4. Few coriander leaves 
  5. 2 Tbs butter
  6. 1 Tsp Oil
  7. 1/4 Tsp turmeric powder
  8. 1/2 Tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
  9. 1 Tbs Sugar or honey as per choice
  10. Salt as per test.

Cutting Tomatos for Restaurant Style Tomato Soup

Procedure:

In a pressure cooker, add oil, once oil is warm add butter. While butter is melting add garlic and ginger. Sautee it for 2 min, add tomato spices salt & Sugar/honey. Cook it for 3 to 4 min then add one cup of water and then presser cook it for 2 to 3 whistle. 

Making of Tomato Soup

Allow to cool down, then grind it to a smooth slurry. Straining depends on personal choice. Transfer it to cooker again, bring it to boil. Duration of boiling depends upon your required soup consistency. Add cream if you wish to

Serve hot with Bread croutons.

P.S: I don't add Cream or any thickening agent like cornflour.
